The beautiful August Schell's brewery is located on the edge of town and only minutes from a beautiful state park. So we got to check out our favorite brewer, sample some goodies, and still enjoy the perfect weather at a wooded campsite.
New Ulm is strongly noted for its German roots, which can be found at every turn with Corner 'Backerei's', Deutsch restaurants, German beer halls, and European gift shops.

One of their tourist sites is 'Hermann the German.' He is huge and on top of a hill overlooking the town. We were able to climb to the top, and take this wonderful picture (which Eric thinks is 'up his skirt.')
Do warriors wear skirts?
Definitely still cooler looking than Lederhosen!
