September Bridal Fun!

September has flown by, but we've had lots of fun enjoying the cool weather and sunshine.

One fun night included a bridal revival party with our small group women from church. Our small group is no longer 'small', it has grown to 12+ couples, which really just multiplies the fun. :) If anyone has wondered what a 'small group' is when we have mentioned it in the past, it is a group of people from church that seek to have more intimate community and spiritual growth together in a smaller setting. Our church has dozens of them for every age group and phase of life, and ours caters specifically to 'young married couples'. It has really been an amazing thing to be a part of, and fun to watch as it grows and grows. After getting to know each other so well, it is still kind of a funny thought that we haven't been in each others lives all that long. We had thought up the idea of getting together to 'relive' our wedding memories with each other, to celebrate and get to know the young bride in each of us! So with a little inspiration, we decorated, pulled out dusty albums and scrapbooks, and shook out our veils for the big night!

We broke the ice with a 'bridal jeopardy' game, made out of the ladies' wedding and engagement stories. The categories ranged from 'Boys will be Boys' to 'Crazy Love,' and included questions like 'which groom microwaved a lasagna for his proposal dinner?' and 'which couple met in person only three times before getting engaged?' We had lots of fun guessing (some more educated than others) and getting to know each other better in the process. The winners went home with an exciting Ring Pop to share or keep for themselves. :)

Everyone tried to get in the bridal spirit, most of us donning veils and white attire, and others donning more prominent symbols of their marital love and commitment. :)

'Don't judge us!' lol

Thank you to Kristen for hosting us, and even making us a beautiful wedding cake!

It was so much fun to make memories while reliving the laughs and stories of our engagement and wedding days. I guess you're never too far gone to re-live your wedding!
